Many people probably ignore the thing that they can’t go to the WC and eliminate the food from their body in a natural way. However, if you can’t do this at least 3 days in a row, it means that the colon is clogged and this leads to constipation. The thing is that we have to expel all this waste and toxins from our body, or else they start harming our health.
1. Fiber Rich Foods:
We need to consume a diet rich in fiber in order to keep the colon functioning. A high-fiber diet promotes a healthy digestive tract by sweeping waste and toxins from the colon. Also, such a diet keeps the stool soft and improves the bowel movement, which ultimately helps the body to expel waste products. There are two types of fiber, soluble and insoluble, and our body needs them both. Foods rich in soluble fiber are beans, peas, rice, barley, citrus, strawberry and apples, whereas whole wheat, rye, brown rice, barley, cabbage, beets, carrots, brussels sprouts, turnips, cauliflower and apple (with skin) are rich in insoluble fiber. Flax seeds and oats are products rich in both soluble and insoluble fiber. Make sure you include some of these products in your diet and be sure that your colon is going to be just fine.
2. Garlic Enema:
Garlic sauce is one of my favorites. This vegetable is not only a cooking ingredient, but also a medicine to treat various conditions. Garlic enemas have been used to treat fever, colon dysfunction, and other. Garlic has antiviral, antibacterial and anti-parasitic properties, which aid to eliminate toxins, pathogens, and parasites from the digestive tract, particularly from the colon. Garlic is, also, an antioxidant, which reduces inflammation and improves digestion, stimulating the absorption of food nutrients and elimination of waste and toxins. With this enema, you will get rid of the parasites that cause diarrhea, abdominal pain, gas, bloating, weight loss, and other disorders. Make sure to perform this garlic enema regularly in order to remove fecal matter that has hardened in the walls of the colon over time. By cleansing your colon, you clean your body from toxins and other diseases.
Water is a miracle sent to us, which we often ignore. Water keeps our body working. It is important to drink enough water daily for the body to stay hydrated and healthy. The thing is that our body consists of water, mainly, which we tend to lose with sweat, urine, and other eliminations. This puts big pressure on our kidneys that can’t filter the blood properly because it has no water. For this matter, we have to replenish the water level in our system, so our organs to function properly and in harmony. If we don’t drink enough water, the stool is going to be hard and it is going to be difficult for us to expel it. It is recommended to drink about 2 liters of plain water per day. Teas and fresh juices should also be consumed, but not take the primary place instead of water. Also, only by consuming enough water you can lose weight, as water cleans our body from the inside and drains all the toxins out.
4. Flax seeds:
Flax seeds are amazing sources of fiber and omega-3 fatty acids. A friend of mine has a jar full of these seeds at home and she tends to consume them in smoothies and other foods. Now I understand why she loves them so much, plus, she looks gorgeous. The thing is that flax seeds promote a healthy digestion and contribute to the colon cleaning. The omega-3 fatty acids found in these seeds stabilize the cell walls and reduce inflammation. This fiber-rich product absorbs the water in the colon and helps cleansing it. You can ground these seeds and consume the powder with water before meals for a good digestion, or can add them in your food. I started adding them to my smoothies in the morning and other meals during the day and the result is great. I feel lighter and healthier. Flax seeds is a must have for each of us.
5. Lemon Juice:
I am sure you already know that lemon is heaven sent. Besides being a fruit, it is a beauty product and medicine against many affections. It is known that by drinking a glass of water with lemon juice every morning you get rid of that extra weight. Also, with lemon juice you can get rid of blemishes, blackheads, wrinkles, skin tags, moisturize the skin, treat scalp problems and even cleanse your colon. Lemon has antioxidant properties due to vitamin C. When consuming lemon water, the vitamin C acts as an antiseptic and stops the growth of microorganisms. Also, lemon water flushes away the waste material built in your colon and destroys the free radicals and toxins, which can cause cell damage and lead to serious diseases, like cancer. Consume lemon water on an empty stomach every morning and you will feel much better. Besides the fact that you will cleanse your colon, you will lose some weight.
6. Colon Cleansing Diet:
Our body is our mirror. There are exceptions when people suffer from incurable or rare diseases, which are inherited genetically. But healthy people that develop various diseases are mainly guilty for that. We can do whatever we want, and yet, we choose to spend our summer weekends watching TV instead of going outside and do some gardening or playing volleyball. Also, instead of eating healthily, we choose to eat a burger and drink sodas. An unhealthy diet is the key to many diseases and obesity. Opt for more foods rich in fiber, which will keep your cholesterol level down and will expel the toxins out of your body. Eat leafy foods, such as alfalfa, wheatgrass, barley grass, spirulina and blue-green algae that cleanse and keep the digestive tract safe. Consume lots of fruits and vegetables during the day, drink water and your body will thank you for taking care of it. Also, fermented foods like yogurt, kefir, miso and sauerkraut renew the friendly bacteria required for a healthy colon.
7. Apple Juice:
As they say, “an apple a day keeps the doctor away!”. This idiom is true indeed. It was proven that many colon-cleansing methods include either whole apples, apple sauce, apple juice, or apple cider vinegar (ACV), because it is rich in fiber and promotes a healthy digestion. Moreover, apples are rich in pectin, a carbohydrate compound that acts as a thickening agent inside the stomach. This compound drains out the build-up toxins and strengthens the intestinal walls. Pectin is also found in bananas and in the peel of citruses, and it removes heavy metals and other toxins from the body. Regular consumption of apples stimulates the proper bowel functioning, lowers the toxins inside our body and improve the liver condition. Consume at least 1 apple per day or drink a glass of fresh apple juice daily in order to promote a smooth colon cleansing.
8. Beet Root Juice:
Beetroot juice is another product, which stimulates detoxification. This vegetable is rich in dietary fiber, which contain pectin polysaccharides that are very effective in cleansing the digestive tract. The pigments of this vegetable trigger the enzymatic activity, which assists the elimination of toxins and unwanted materials through our urine. Also, these pigments are rich in anti-inflammatory and antioxidant molecules which combat cancer. It is beneficial to consume beetroots and drink their juice on a daily basis for a better bowel movement and pain-free waste elimination. Consume small doses of beet juice and see how your body reacts. If everything turns out fine, consume at least a glass of beet juice daily for a proper colon cleansing. Also, you could make an experiment and drink a glass of beet juice just one day, then pay attention to the color of your stool. For example, if you consumed the juice today, but you eliminated reddish stool only after 2 or 3 days, this means that your colon is seriously clogged and it needs cleansing.
9. Aloe Vera:
Aloe vera is a universal product that comes in handy all the time. Whether you have skin affections or colon affections, aloe vera will help. It has anti-inflammatory properties, thus fixing a lot of disorders. If we ignore these signs, we can worsen our condition, which can lead to arthritis or cancer. Regarding the colon health, we shouldn’t wait until it gets worse or until it will pass. Aloe vera is a natural remedy that will help detoxify the body and cleanse the colon as soon as it was consumed. Opt for organic aloe vera juices that are in concentrated form. Also, the aloe vera gel can be used to flush away the toxins and waste found in our body and mainly in our colon. Besides cleaning the bowels, aloe vera gel can be used to treat conditions like headaches, skin infections, diarrhea, gastric pain, and constipation. Make sure you have this plant at home.
10. Sea salt:
A salt water flush, also known as a “salt water cleanse” or a “master cleanse,” is intended to aid you to cleanse your colon and digestive system by bringing on a forced bowel movement. The sea salt is rich in magnesium, calcium, potassium and more than 60 other trace minerals. It stimulates enzymes needed for proper digestive processes. Salt is needed for improving the adrenal gland/thyroid gland function, cell wall stability, muscle contractions, nutrient absorption, nerve stimulation, pH, and water balance regulation. It promotes the contraction of muscles in the digestive tract that pushes waste out through the colon; hence, the toxins that have been trapped inside our system are expelled without causing sluggishness and constipation. It is recommended to avoid this remedy if you have weak kidneys, high blood pressure, a heart-related problem, edema, diabetes or stomach/intestinal disease.
